Natural dyein at home

  1. Pour the dye mordant.
    Put out the tea bag and stir the alum which had dissolved in dye. Mordant draws a pigment from plants and is effective in color fixing.
    Colors will be dyed differently depends upon the mordant used.
  2. Soak the cloth.
    Soak the cloth and put it on fire again. Boil it over low heat for 20 minutes and keep stirring it freely as it won’t be dyed irregularity. Stop the fire and leave it ten minutes. Just like boiled foods, color seeps while the dye cooling down.
  3. Take out the cloth.
    Take out the cloth and wash in cold water till the color does not appear after you squeeze it lightly.
